Skechers Teams With Snoop Dogg For Paris Olympics Sneaker Collection

Hip-hop royalty deserves a gold medal-worthy pair of sneakers, and a fresh new set of Skechers x Snoop Dogg kicks have a proper seal of approval from the D-O-Double-G himself. The occasion? The 2024 Paris Olympics, where Snoop is serving as a special broadcast correspondent.
Better still? The new pairs are exclusively designed for Snoop himself. Skechers joined forces with Snoop Dogg last summer on a full array of collaboration kicks, and the legendary rapper has been a fan of the brand for years, even appearing rather famously in a 2023 Skechers Big Game commercial. The rapper also teamed with Skechers on performance basketball sneakers earlier this year, and the new five-piece capsule takes his love of the Skechers “S” a step further.

His presence has drawn extra eyes to several Olympic disciplines—Snoop has swam with Michael Phelps, cheered on the U.S. women’s soccer team alongside Megan Rapinoe, and danced with Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles.
As the hip-hop legend makes the Olympic rounds, eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted him sporting one of the five sneakers in the new Skechers collection, all of which are emblazoned with his quote: “I only compete with myself”—a line Snoop told the Skechers design team upon meeting with them ahead of his first capsule collection launch. Gold heel clips feature Snoop’s own paisley print, while each sneaker bears the tri-colors of the French flag in a nod to the host country.
Two pairs of colorful kicks take inspiration from the rapper’s “Doggybonez” high-top silhouette, boasting an exclusively designed, Olympics-inspired logo that swaps Snoop’s birth year (1971) for the year of the Games themselves. One pair even features “Paris” in graffiti font (a blend of his West Coast “swag” and Euro style), while gold, silver and bronze detailing rests around the laces in a tribute to a trio of Olympic medals.
Crafted from premium leather uppers, one particularly impressive pair boasts gold, snake-embossed leather, a Paris-inspired logo and red-white-and-blue, French flag ribbon detailing. As the footwear brand notes, delivering a handful of Snoop-inspired pairs of sneakers was a must: “There was no question that Snoop Dogg would need to have a fresh selection of luxe, one-of-a-kind fashion sneakers to sport when he takes center stage.” For Snoop, only the best will do, and this latest Skechers collection delivers a podium-worthy flourish of style.
