Supreme’s Much Rumored Air Jordan Collaboration Drops Friday

Plus all the sneaker drops you need to look out for this weekend.

After much speculation and just as much waiting, buzzy streetwear brand Supreme finally announced Thursday that their collaborative sneaker with Nike will drop on Friday. Though the style won’t be available in the New York or LA stores, the shoes will hit the brand’s site (and likely cause it to crash) in three colorways Friday morning. There’s no word on pricing, but unless you’re in driving vicinity from the London location, be primed with credit card in hand and a prayer heaven sent tomorrow at 11 AM.

Big fan of Adidas? That team has linked up with GORE-TEX on waterpoof skate kicks in an orange colorway that dropped earlier this week. No doubt, the styles will be an eyecatcher in the rain. Sadly, the $150 shoe is already sold out.

In addition to the Supreme launch, Nike is unveiling their latest LeBron sneaker, the “Akronite,” this weekend. With Nike Air Tech, strap detailing and asymmetrical heel panels, the sneaker drops Saturday online.

If you’re looking for something a little sleeker or in more classic colors, try out the new hi-top style from SUPRA. Inspired by court shoes, the Belmont High is pretty minimalist with subtle foxing tape detail. Available in all black as well as black upper white sole, it’s not likely you’ll be able to get more classic than this. Pick up a pair for $95.

Seems like a big week for Nike, no? In addition to the “Akronite,” the company is throwing a Sneakerboot line-up into the mix.  While we’re not sure exactly what makes a sneakerboot different than a high-top sneaker (our money is on the all-weather, durable nature of the designs), but we’re sure that we’d be into copping a pair. With a full eight styles in the launch, there’s definitely enough to choose from. The line launches Saturday online.
