These Porsche Sunglasses Are Inspired By 911 Turbo Curves

The new Iconic Curved model embraces “aerodynamic contours and sleek curves,” Porsche Design said, with surfaces and shapes of the 911 Turbo S never far out of mind. The sportscar’s air intakes come to mind when looking at the frame itself, resulting in an “ideal match between automotive aesthetics and functional design.”
The structure of the sleek yet strong new frame is as supercharged as it gets, blending aluminum and high-performance polyamide RXP for durability. The temples are also integrated into the bold square look, which is then adorned with the streamlined Porsche Design logo on the upper left lens. Porsche noted that the frames push boundaries, as “perfection and precision are taken to the next level.”
The elegant, muscular frames are seemingly a must for both auto and design enthusiasts, particularly those drawn to the famed performance of the Porsche 911 Turbo S. The new sunglasses arrive just in time for the high heat of summer: They’ll be available starting next month online at Porsche Design and in Porsche Design stores for $960.
