A fall footwear refresh just in time for peak boot season.

Clarks is no stranger to a vast array of beloved boots, but what happens when the famed footwear brand opens up its archive to one of the country’s foremost menswear designers?

The answer can be seen in short order with the forthcoming drop of the Todd Snyder x Clarks Originals Caravan Boots, set to debut next week.

It marks yet another chapter in the Todd Snyder x Clarks partnership, but this one is even more distinctive: Snyder and Clarks dug up the oft-overlooked silhouette and put a spin on them that features some of the designer’s distinctive touches.

Just in time for peak boot season, the Todd Snyder x Clarks Caravan Boots blend a chunky crepe rubber sole (made from sustainably certified rubber) with a textured hairy suede upper in two sleek colorways.

They’re complemented by an understated Todd Snyder heel logo and two branded logo hang tags.

It fits nicely with Snyder’s knack for putting his own spin on heritage classics, from seasonal collections with Champion to a much-loved Todd Snyder x L.L. Bean capsule.

Snyder also continues to delve deeper into the world of footwear, hot on the heels of the debut of the first-ever Todd Snyder branded sneaker earlier this fall.

As to the boots themselves, Snyder looked beyond typical fall footwear.

“I wanted a rugged-yet-modern boot that felt new and fresh for the season. So, we went in to the archives and found a lesser known Clarks style from the 1970s,” Snyder said. “The Caravan makes you do a double take, and its versatility is just as suitable for the city as it is for the country.”

Snyder and Clarks had a helping hand in bringing the boots to life: Brooklyn artist Nick Doyle, best known for collaged denim wall sculptural wall works that delve into American themes of toxic masculinity, excess and greed.

The textured navy and grey boots play nicely off Doyle’s studio canvas, and Doyle shows that when worn the right way, suede moccasin boots can feel perfectly reinvigorated for the season ahead.

Starting October 4th, secure your new go-to pair of handsome fall boots online at Todd Snyder for $220, a fair price to pay for expert seasonal style.
