Todd Snyder x Timex Launch Gold Welton Bi-Metal Watch
The menswear designer mined Timex’s archives to create an elegant and affordable new timepiece.

Todd Snyder continues mining gold from Timex’s vast design archives with the Gold Welton Bi-Metal. For this version (see the previous Bi-Metal reissue here), the designer has paired classic Midcentury elegance with an updated sense of fun.
In a release, the design house says “Todd wanted to reimagine the Bi-Metal Welton as a holiday classic; the perfect complement to a refined, festive look.” Nailed it.

With this version of the Welton, Snyder has wisely preserved that 50s groove and added a stainless steel gold-tone case, accented with a silver dial and striking black crocodile leather strap.
Contemporary features are what separate this timepiece from its mechanical ancestor. It runs off quartz movement and is water-resistant to 30 meters.

Additional specs include the subtle and elegant 34mm case, 18 mm lug width, quick-release spring bars in case you want to easily change straps, and an inner minute track true to the artwork that sets apart the 1950s-style dial.
The Gold Welton Bi-Metal launches December 10 (today), and it retails exclusively at the Todd Snyder Madison Square Park store and on ToddSnyder.com for $158.
