Ulysse Nardin Honors Veterans With Limited Edition Dive Watch
The Swiss watchmaker teamed up with Navy SEAL-founded nonprofit One More Wave, which makes surfboards for disabled vets.
Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin salutes U.S. military veterans with a new limited edition of its Diver Chronometer dive watch in collaboration with the One More Wave nonprofit.
Founded by U.S. Navy SEAL Alex West in 2015, the San Diego-based One More Wave makes custom surfboards for disabled vets and promotes the therapeutic benefits of ocean therapy.
The collab was a natural fit for the luxury watch brand, which has a history of making seaworthy timepieces dating back to 1846. The newest Ulysse Nardin x One More Wave was designed to withstand the extreme pressures of surfing while reflecting West’s background in amphibious warfare.
Rated for 300 meters of water resistance, it features a black DLC titanium case, turquoise hands, and an open sapphire caseback with an OMW logo. The gray rubber strap also includes an OMW marking, while the buckle is made of black ceramic.
“We are thrilled to release our latest timepiece with One More Wave and couldn’t imagine a better partner to support U.S. veterans,” said Ulysse Nardin Americas president Fracois-Xavier Hotier in a statement announcing the new timepiece.
“We thought this would be the perfect timepiece to launch on Veteran’s Day to celebrate U.S. veterans and give back to their community. We hope to bring more awareness to One More Wave and will do whatever we can to support this inspiring organization.”
Priced at $11,500 and limited to 100 examples, the Ulysse Nardin Diver Chronometer 44mm One More Wave is available now at select retailers.
