Urwerk’s limited edition, $65,000 titanium timepiece features out-of-this-world precision technology.

Every standout watch has an element of precision to it, but URWERK watches are on another level entirely — and now, the jaw-dropping URWERK UR-100V comes in an even more sleek and impressive design. The latest launch from the haute horology company is outfitted in durable, sharp black titanium, with out-of-this-world specs built right in.

The stunner of a timepiece — which retails for a whopping $65,000 — has plenty going for it, including a movement that’s practically hand-delivered right from the future.

For starters, it’s lightweight and designed to sit comfortably on your wrist, thanks to the black DLC titanium case and durable, 32-link titanium bracelet.

The UR12.02 movement features ARCAP alloy baseplates and a triple carousel that lends itself quite nicely to the most stunning feature of the watch: Its dial features a proprietary design that switches to a 20-minute track after a 60-minute rotation — the idea behind the 20-minute interval?

That’s so you can track the distance you’d travel via the Earth’s rotation if you found yourself standing at the equator — name another watch on the planet that can do that.

That’s not all the URWERK UR-100V Full Black Titanium Jacket has going for it, and that’s likely an understatement. The watch uses another almost astonishing touch, incorporating a scale on the dial that shows another type of journey in 20 minutes: The distance traveled around the sun.

URWERK founder Felix Baumgartner noted the visually striking dial design is a result of the redesigned carousel movement itself.

“This movement enabled a redesign of the carousel, bringing the hours closer to the minutes as they travel in succession along the 60-minute scale,” Baumgartner said in a statement. “The result is an easier and more intuitive reading of the time.”

URWERK takes great care to note how unique this timepiece happens to be: An engraving on the case itself calls out the fact that only 25 editions of this beamed-in-from-the-future timepiece are up for grabs.

The URWERK UR-100 V Full Black Titanium Jacket defies expectations at every turn, from the dial to the way it tracks your (hypothetical) movement at the equator, to the way it sits on your wrist with a lightweight 41mm case and luxurious titanium construction.

Choose wisely, though: It’s worth remembering only 25 editions are available, and you’ll have to pony up a cool $65K to get one on your wrist.
