You can literally sleep with the fishes at this new underwater getaway in the Maldives.

The first-of-its-kind underwater hotel we previewed back in April has finally opened at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, and it looks absolutely breathtaking, especially when viewed in the promotional video below, which features world-class free diver Alessia Zecchini.

The Muraka is distinct from a hotel suite—it’s a two-story “underwater hotel residence” with a bedroom 16 feet under the surface. From the bed a visitor can look up and feel like they’re spending a peaceful night under the ocean, without the troublesome danger of inhaling seawater.

The Conrad Maldives didn’t stop with the stunning, minimalist bedroom—above the water is the second floor, which has a sun deck and infinity pool. There’s also a gym, a tub with an ocean view, a well-stocked bar and butler’s quarters.

The requirements for a stay in the Muraka are what distinguish it from a one-night novelty —visitors commit to four days, or $200,000 for the entire package. But there’s even more to the package than the glorious view from the tub or the luminous experience in the underwater bedroom.

The four-night Muraka package will include a personal chef and a private boat, as well.

The Conrad Maldives understands its best asset may be the crystal clear waters of the Indian ocean—after all, it also boasts Ithaa, a five-star restaurant with a similar view.

It’s almost like a stay in Atlantis, minus the mermaids.
