This Stunning Coastal Lair Looks Like A Yacht Embedded In A Mediterranean Cliff
The jaw-dropping design looks like something out of a James Bond movie.
It’s sometimes astonishing how the sort of thing you might only see on the big screen can suddenly spring into existence IRL. Take the supremely futuristic and forward-thinking Villa Earth, designed by Greek architecture and design firm Vrantsi.
Villa Earth calls to mind the sort of luxury villa you might find in a modern James Bond movie, particularly Spectre or perhaps even Quantum of Solace, and that’s quite the compliment.
The private residence boasts a sleek, almost-speedy profile and once you know the design inspiration, you start to spot its cues everywhere: Villa Earth calls to mind a modern yacht, perched above the Mediterranean Sea in Greece.
The house boasts a “green” garden roof and classic materials designed to withstand a coastal climate, including glass, steel and concrete.
Those seemingly simple materials fuse together stylishly, complete with a series of terraced balconies and a translucent pool.
In keeping with the foundation of its design, Villa Earth was also built with a private mini-harbor for quick access to the rich blue waters of the coast.
It also lives up to the lofty expectations set by Vrantsi’s other private villas, including Hóros, which was designed to seemingly blend into the lush Crete landscape itself, boasting rooftop greenery in spades.
Vrantsi villas, especially Villa Earth, are covetable, one-of-a-kind and built from the ground up with innovative design expertise: Dream homes built for the future.
