Luxury Travel Intelligence—a members-only organization catering to affluent travelers—has dropped its annual World’s Best Luxury Hotel Brands list for 2022.

LTI says it uses a “rigorously defined algorithm that measures the performance and values of luxury hotel brands” to tabulate its list, based on “128 touch points relevant to the luxury hotel sector,” according to an announcement trumpeting the 2022 edition, which ranks hotel brands with at least 10 properties in their portfolios.

The focus is on a brand’s ability to deliver: its passion, commitment, ethos and values, as well as the quality of its management and staff. Continuing investment is also a major factor – particularly for new properties and the refurbishment of existing ones.

Below are the top ten results from LTI’s 2022 Best Luxury Hotel Brands list, which saw Six Senses take the top spot for the third year in a row.
