It might seem most intuitive to take on the world of motorsports from dry land, but what about the high seas? Aston Martin and its Aramco Formula 1 team are looking at high-end auto racing through another lens, teaming up with Regent Seven Seas to expand its luxury sailing partnership.
The latest edition of the Aston Martin Aramco x Regent Seven Seas, entitled the “Spotlight Voyage,” is slated to sail next summer across the Mediterranean on the Seven Seas Splendor.
And the plan? Bringing lucky travelers in style to some of auto racing’s most iconic destinations.
With current stars like Fernando Alonso behind the wheel and the surging popularity of Drive to Survive, the world of Formula 1 has never been more enticing (or in this case, accessible via a distinctly premium cruise experiencE).
Hosting the trip is none other than former F1 driver Pedro de la Rosa, plus Aston Martin executives and engineers, a rare chance to get up close and personal with the masterminds behind the burgeoning world of Formula One.
Meet and greet opportunities, plus panel discussions with the Aston Martin F1 team, will dot the itinerary on board the impressive vessel, but there’s particular appeal in excursions ashore, too.
Chief among them is the chance to experience a bespoke tour of Monaco, complete with a viewing of the Classic Car Collection and Prince Rainer’s personal car collection.
“The Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Aston Martin Aramco partnership was formed on the basis of our shared passion for creating once-in-a-lifetime moments whether on land or at sea,” said Jefferson Slack, managing director of commercial and marketing for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One team. “The newly unveiled Spotlight Voyage, which will take place right in the heart of the 2025 season, is the perfect way for guests to get an exclusive look into the fascinating inner workings of an iconic Formula 1 team.”
From Barcelona to Monte Carlo, travelers will experience auto innovation and design workshops, plus all the creature comforts of a luxe sailing experience via Regent Seven Seas.
In addition to a full-size racing car replica on board a public viewing deck, travelers will also have the chance to hop behind the wheel of an Aston Martin racing simulator.
For good measure, a series of deck parties, “race day” themed cocktails and menu items, and co-branded merchandise will round out the immersive experience.
Prices for the iconic, epic voyage start from $8,449 per guest, with pre and post-cruise land programming planned for both Barcelona and Bologna, Italy, complete with a slate of immersive automotive experiences (Think: Visits to both Lamborghini and Ferrari).
A new kind of way to look at luxury cruising and auto racing awaits, and it seems as if Aston Martin and Regent Seven Seas are planning a thrilling high-seas experience at every turn.
