Olympian Gymnast Aly Raisman Just Got Body Shamed by the TSA, and She’s NOT Having It
“I am so sick of this judgmental generation.”
Passing through airport security, wherein a TSA agent customarily rubs down your thighs, is shame-inducing enough. To make matters worse, gymnast Aly Raisman just revealed some of those agents are actively “body shaming” passengers.
The 22-year-old two-time Olympian just took to Twitter to share with fans her infuriating experience at airport security: A male TSA agent made a crude remark about the unimpressive size of her biceps.
Lady at TSA: "Gymnast? I recognized u by ur biceps"
Man at TSA: "I don't see any muscles" & continues 2 stare at me
How rude & uncomfortable— Alexandra Raisman (@Aly_Raisman) May 24, 2017
He was very rude. Staring at me shaking his head like it couldn't be me because I didn't look "strong enough" to him? Not cool.

In retaliation, Raisman engaged in some light “generation shaming,” suggesting these are the wretched times in which we live.
I work very hard to be healthy & fit. The fact that a man thinks he judge my arms pisses me off I am so sick of this judgmental generation.

If u are a man who can't compliment a girls 💪🏻 you are sexist. Get over yourself. Are u kidding me? It's 2017. When will this change?

She really can’t win.Â
In a recent Instagram post, Raisman recounted how boys in school would ridicule her muscle mass and toned gymnast physique. “Don’t ever let anyone tell you how you should or shouldn’t look. There is no such thing as a perfect body type,” she wrote in the post.

But her fit physique looked pretty damn perfect to us in her Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoot.

It appears that Raisman is joining fellow Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney in shutting down her shamers and giving zero fucks.
