It’s a pretty good combination. (NSFW)

Beautiful models, a world-renowned photographer and a stunning backdrop combine to impressive effect in The Great Beauty, the lavish new coffee table tome by Federico Pignatelli della Leonessa, owner of the famed Pier 59 photo studios in Manhattan.

Pignatelli trekked to Laispoli, Italy, in 2014 to photograph 11 models inside the historic Paul Getty Villa, which has been a landmark overlooking the Sea of Rome since 1640. The book’s publisher, teNeues, reports that the week-long 2014 shoot was designed to “fully embrace the allure and infinite intrigue of womankind—a daring, intoxicating ode to their esoteric and erotic narcissism.”

See for yourself if Pignatelli accomplished that noble goal with this preview of the 224-page book, and keep in mind that the author is donating all proceeds to the International Rescue Committee, so it’s erotic photography for a very good cause.
