It seems that lighting up the Houston sky with drones and hurling herself off the roof of NRG Stadium—and keeping the whole thing apolitical—wasn’t enough to divert the critical eyes of body shamers. Following her killer performance during the halftime of Super Bowl LI, Lady Gaga was met with strong criticisms of her “gut” and “flabby belly.”

Channelling the message of her ra-ra self-empowerment anthem “Born This Way,” Lady Gaga has hit back at her haters in a rousing Instagram post.

“I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I’m proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do.” the 30-year-old pop icon wrote.

“I could give you a million reasons why you don’t need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you. That’s the stuff of champions. thank you so much everyone for supporting me.”

Settled. Now let’s all go back to criticizing Gaga for normal things… like deep-throating rosaries.
