Originally that boisterous Italian-American dancer from Michigan, Madge first got us into the groove in the 80s. She soon shed her “Papa Don’t Preach,” wild-child image for some brilliant avant-garde work near the onset of the nineties in hits such as “Like a Prayer,” “Vogue,” and “Express Yourself.”
We’ve been hung up on her ever since.
